Extra Credit Opportunity from Ortega & Stewart

In preparation for our school wide Mock Election on Tuesday, 10/28, Stewart & Ortega have an extra credit opportunity for you.  Send all submissions to Ortega at ortega.jen@gmail.com.

View the gubernatorial debate here:

Then, read through the props in this guide:

Props

Afterward, send me an email persuading me to vote for the candidate you've decided on as well as in favor or against two props that you think are important.  For each of these items, you will need to use ethos, pathos, and logos to support your position.  Each of the three categories should be clearly marked with four sentences each,  like this:

1.  My opinion  (Kermit the Frog should be governor.)
2.  Ethos (I have known many frogs in my long life, and they are a very honest group.)
3.  Pathos (Kermit is a stand-up guy; he and Miss Piggy have been together for 35 years, and he is still a loyal and devoted partner).
4.  Logos (Homeless Muppets have really become an issue in California, and Kermit is committed to finding homes for unwanted Muppets of all kinds.

This is due to me by Monday, 10/27 at 8 PM.
