From the Counselor's Desk:
1. Let the Buyer Beware! This is my advice to all of you who are receiving letters claiming to set special appointments with you and your family to find you great schools, good financial aid and perfect careers! By simply signing up for their meetings, you are given a free presentation that may soon lead to a contract for a few hundred to a few thousand dollars. Beware! Check with the Better Business Bureau in the state of the companies home address. Check with me if you are still unsure of their reputation. College costs are high enough without other companies taking advantage of you and your money.
2. SIGN up for a college visit from USC on September 23rd, next Tuesday, at 1:00 pm. Parents may attend also but must pay for a $2.00 parking pass and register in the office.
3. Going to apply to a CSU? Want to know your scores from the CST/EAP testing? This will help you to prepare for the EPT/ELM if you need to take those tests in the spring. Check out this website (http://www.csumathsuccess.org/eap_results) to access their EAP status and find out the next steps to prepare for the CSU.
