Schedule 8/19-8/22

Note:   The research check, pot luck, blog and show tell are things we are going over on the first day of school.  Here is the schedule for next week.   

TUES:  Blog 2 is due by 8AM and Back to School Nite at 6:30PM.

Note:  The asterisk (*) below connects to the days of the week.  For example, on Wednesday, the Accountability Contract is due by 8AM.

**Sign up for potluck planning site by 8AM. Click here.  Talk to your senior ASB leader for questions related to this.  Your senior ASB rep will create a group on the site and ask you to join.
***Blog 3 is due by 8AM, bring research check things, and bring object for show and tell and potluck item.

Note:  Blog 3 is the final day for changing topics for your senior project.

Committees:
  • Senior ASB:  Meet Thursday in Purther's at the start of lunch to discuss plan for getting pizza and muffins going the next week.
  • Dance 1 Committee:   Plan to meet Tuesday of the second week of school.

  • Pick up your candy, if you haven't, candy is due 9/3.   Bring $ to Purther during the morning before school, breaks or lunch.

  • Supply List for next year:
    • Social Science: Spiral notebook, markers or color pencils 
    • Language Arts: composition book, blue or black pen, brightly colored editing pens, silent reading book
    • Mathematics: A spiral notebook, graph paper, a couple colored pens (different colors)
    • Science: graph paper, colored pens (red and blue), 3 ring-binder.
    • Model Assembly:  Spiral notebook
    • Senior Project:  2 spiral notebooks; 11 x 17 poster paper for senior project topic art assignment
    • For Science and Math courses, you need a graphing calculator:  TI-83, TI-83 Plus, TI-86, TI-89, or TI- 89 Titanium recommended for Integrated Mathematics and Integrated Science courses

Udemy.com  is a website with several low cost courses that you might want to consider as you prepare for college applications, college essay writing, and more.  I am taking the Common Application training; it has great tips for the Common Application plus some great ideas for all college applications.  The comments/question part of the course is also very helpful.  Ms. Hunzeker.

What supplies to bring for the first day of school?
  • We are not checking supplies the first day.  It is probably in your best interest that you bring spiral notebooks for Math and Social Science, composition book for English, paper for Science, and your pen or pencil for all courses.

  1. What is the research check 1 and what do we have to write for Blog 3? Will you be making another blog post for these? I also wasn't able to sign up for the potluck.
