One's philosophy is not best expressed in words; it is expressed in the choices one makes... and the choices we make are ultimately our responsibility. Eleanor Roosevelt

Tuesday at 1pm: Senior Presentation SignUps
Greetings Class of 2015,
In just a few short weeks, you will be watching the seniors perform one of the most important assignments in their Senior Project: the Senior Presentation. It is a stressful yet exciting time of year for the senior class because they know that they will be on center stage to display the culmination of a year's worth of their work for half the school to see. If you are interested in which topics the seniors chose this year, have a look at the "Senior Presentation Schedule" under "Senior Presentations" on this blog. You may want to use that document to guide your decisions in registering for presentations.
Junior registration will be available on Tuesday 05/06 at 1pm. Here are the details:
A) The link to "Senior Presentation SignUps" can be found under "Senior Presentations" on this blog.
B) SignUps are first come-first serve. This can create an issue in which you may be asked to start over again after you click the "submit" button. There are two reasons this happens: (1) You did not click on a selection for EACH date and block. (2) We allow a limited number of juniors and seniors per presentation, therefore, while you are making selections the presentation you wanted to sign up for filled up.
-If either of those two events occur, you will be asked to start over! This may happen multiple times: just keep trying until you get your submissions to go through. You will know if you successfully submitted your selections because you will be given a confirmation on a separate screen immediatley after you hit the submit button.
C) After you make your selections, you will not be allowed to switch into another presentation. That is a senior privilege.
D) The sign up page will close Wednesday (05/07) at 2pm. You will be randomly assigned to presentations if you neglect to sign up.
While you are watching a Senior Presentations, pay special attention to the way senior students word their Essential Question, talk about their answers (citing research articles they acquired from the Cal Poly database and books written by experts), as well as the way they run activities and create engagement in the classroom: around this time next year, you'll be showing off what you love to the current sophomore class.
Feel free to email me at pittman_rachel@lacoe.edu if you have any questions or run into any issues.
